Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel Sofer (born December 2 1968) is an American actress, known for her role in daytime television, episodic guest appearances and made-for-television films. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her performance of Lois Cerullo in the soap show General Hospital. She was Quinn Fuller's role in the CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful from 2013 to 2022.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) The daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who works as a psychologist, as well as Martin Sofer, who is an Orthodox Rabbi.
In 1970, Sofer moved to Teaneck, New Jersey with her brother David and her father. However, when Sofer was just five years old, they remained in Western Pennsylvania. The family was brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer resided in North Bergen, New Jersey and her father was the synagogue's rabbi Temple Beth El. Sofer was a graduate of North Bergen High School and later went to Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Sofer first appeared as Lois Marie Cerullo on General Hospital. Her first appearance came in 1993 as a manager of a band. Her first television role was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap opera about Loving (1988-91).
