Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister within Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and found her passion to sprint at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within 10 weeks of her first tryout she came third in the 200 meters during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix graduated from high school signing a professional contract with the sports company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. She broke the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion for the distance of 200 meters. She won the title in 2007. won her title by beating Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked within the top three athletes at her particular events.
