Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985 in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix's athletic talent was evident right from the day she began attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. In only 10 weeks following her first attempt, Felix placed second in the 200 meters race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix completed her high school graduation having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she studied elementary education. Felix's first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place at Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest winner of the 200 meters in the world championships in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal once again in 2007, defeating time-tested Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She always finished within the top three places of all events.
